Gospel, Ballet, Classics, Flamenco and more at Palma Auditorium
If you're planning a spring break in Mallorca and fancy taking in some excellent entertainment then Palma Auditorium on the city's Paseo Maritimo has some great shows lined up from now until May. There's an incredible variety of styles on offer to suit the discerning international traveller with classical music, orchestras, soloists, Broadway shows, Flamenco and Ballet all on the menu.

16th March - The Black Experience by The American Spiritual Ensemble
Fourteen professional opera singers blend together in perfect harmony performing the spiritual songs that are the slave era roots of America's cultural gift to the world; Jazz, Blues and Soul.
18th March - Haochen Zhang
The Chinese virtuoso and classical pianist everyone, but everyone, is talking about is one of the busiest musicians on the planet and tonight plays Schubert, Chopin and Prokofiev.
19th March – Vivaldi's Four Seasons
The Chamber Film Orchestra composed of members of the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra perform the original version of Vivaldi's well known masterpiece – you're humming the tune already – against a backdrop of projected photos of Mallorca during its four seasons.
25th March to 3rd April – Mamma Mia
Classic ABBA tunes to a who's the daddy theme. Read our full article here
11th April – The University of Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra
A full classical orchestra composed of university students plays Mozart, Beethoven and Shostakovich.
16th and 17th April – Ballet de Moscu
The ever touring Ballet of Moscow perform the world's most famous ballet, Swan Lake on the 16th and Giselle the following day. I've seen them in action and they're good!
5th May – Cuba in Two Pianos
Two Cuban sisters, Ivón and Ivet Frontela, now living in Spain, one in Palma and the other in Barcelona, perform classical piano pieces with more than a hint of Spain, Cuba and South America.
20th May – Las Minas Puerto Flamenco
Ninety minutes of non-stop heart rending, gut wrenching emotion from the heart and soul of the deep south of Spain as 14 top musicians, singers and dancers each in turn become the protagonist of the performance.
25th May – National Ballet of Marseille
Loosely inspired by Elias Canetti’s literary masterpiece Crowds and Power, the new work 'Le corps du Ballet National de Marseille' is a piece in which the power of each dancer’s body is promoted to enhance the potential of the whole.
